Murwillumbah, in the heart of the Tweed Valley, is one of the prettiest and trendiest country towns in Australia. Surrounded by the rim of the Mt Warning Volcano caldera and situated on the Tweed River, almost every street has a mountain, river or valley view. It's a place where the lifestyle is relaxed and informal and it's sometimes difficult to believe that the Gold Coast, the City of Brisbane with all their pizzazz, are less than an hour and 2 hours drive away respectively and the very trendy beachside town of Byron Bay is only 40 minutes south by car.

As well as making Murwillumbah a base to explore three World Heritage National Parks - Mt Warning only 12 kms away - Nightcap Range 30kms southwest and the Border Ranges to the west, you can go fishing or boating on the Tweed River, play bowls, enjoy a round of golf on a wonderful course, be entertained at clubs and pubs, visit the Tweed River Art Gallery, take country drives to quaint villages or just soak up the easy-going atmosphere of the town.
